LaserPecker LP2 - Portable and Handheld Laser Engraver

I got into woodworking and wanted something simple to brand my boards. LaserPecker was the only solution I saw that did not require a cumbersome rail system and came with a very small footprint. My requirement was to be able to design logo and impressions easily and engave boards. So far, the results have exceeded my expectations. It cuts through the wood very nicely, with minimal burning and exceptional detail.

The only thing that could use improvement is software. The mobil app is not great, forgets settings and very clunky to use. I only use it to test new materials and when I am in a rush. Desktop software is better, has surprisingly nice options (curving text in a circle) etc but could improve on usuability front. Since desktop software allows for any PNG, SVG import, I can do my designs outside in my software of choice and bring it in just for final engraving.

In short, I recommend buying it if you care for high quality output and small storage needs.

I was very impressed by the packaging of the product and how easy it was to set up and get creating. Being a Glowforge Aura user , this little machine packs a BIG punch. I've enjoyed this for little projects and who knows may upgrade in the future. I highly recommend the LaserPecker 2!

I initially bought the laser pecker 1 and after some uses i wanted to get 2 with rotary. It is noticeable faster and can engrave on more materials with ease. The rotary tool allows interesting ideas to engrave by allowing longer objects which I used to be limited in with lp1. It offers great value for the price and remains compact at the same time.

Laser software is the only thing worse than the laser. Laser is decent at best. I really regret buying this laser. When it engraves, it shows it will engrave what is black, but it engraves inverse image. The problem is, when you see it happening it’s too late. So very much time is wasted and money lost. Also, when you are using, I highly recommend using a scrap piece to make sure it’s correct before trying to engrave what you need. You will also find the engraving is not nearly .05 mm. That’s a joke.

No complaints what so ever with the LaserPecker 2 product. I was worried about the learning curve and complexity of settings. It works flawlessly and produces professional grade work. Step up your game by adding this tool to your arsenal, you will be SO GLAD you did. I did my research and this was my choice. Can't wait to see what else I create with this sophisticated laser / cutter. Go pull the trigger today and don't wait like I did due to researching the best unit. Super pleased!!!
